I'm still searching for a method to do what the OP wanted, My client wants to install the current version OVER the current version (this is what he wants) without having to manually uninstall the existing version. I had hoped to find an uninstall command/custom action that I could invoke regardless ...

Typo: "Build was canceled" when it was actually successful
When the build dialog is set to auto-close, the status bar erroneously says that the build was canceled when it was, in fact, successfully completed. Advanced Installer doesn't support installing Hardware First Install type drivers. It was designed for Software First Install drivers only that usually come with your application Could you please clarify that statement?
