Increased File Size

Hello, I have a project and recently added 3 prerequisites using the "Download single file from URL" option. I was thinking that since this would be downloaded from our web server that the projects .exe would not increase much at all. After adding the new prerequisites the file size actual...

Product Version

I recently upgraded from Advanced Installer 9.0 to 9.3 and have an issue with the Product Version. My current package has a Product Version of 2012.2.20 but when I tried to create a new release (2012.2.30) I get an error saying "The specified version is not supported. A valid version has been g...

Re: Resume after Reboot

Sure, here is a screen shot after the prerequisite reboot. Is there anyway to launch the main application after the reboot without having to get this again.

Re: Resume after Reboot

Thank you for the response. I took out the prerequiste for installing SQL Server and only have the .NET Framework. After the reboot from installing the Framework it still prompts to run the installation package. Is there a setting I am missing to go straight into installing the MainFeature? Thank yo...

Resume after Reboot

Morning, I have an installation package that contains two Prerequisites (.NET Framework 4.0 and SQL Server 2008). After the installation of the .NET Framework a reboot is needed. Once the computer reboots the installation prompts to run the install package again. Is there a way after the first prere...

Re: Radio Button to run Prerequisites

Thank you for your quick response. If I understand the user guide correctly I would set the Return Value Property of the Prerequisite and use that Value in the FeatureAction.vbs file replacing "FeatureA" as the value from the Prerequisite (Session.FeatureRequestState("FeatureA") ...

Re: Autorun.exe marked as virus

Hello, Was touching base to see what the results were from the submission to the Avira team. I did take the package that Advanced Installer created to another computer running a different virus scan that was up-to-date and did not find anything. Looks like only the Avira virus scan is making this de...

Re: Autorun.exe marked as virus

Hello,

Could you verify if this has been resolved. When I compile Avira Antivir is saying I have a virus on the autorun.exe file.

Thank you

Re: Keeping Folder during Update

Excellent, that worked when I made sure the file components had the same GUID. One other question I have. I released a version 1.0.0 of my application a while back, recently a version 2.0.0 was released and wanted to put an update out for the 2.0.0 version. I for some reason or another set the updat...

Re: Keeping Folder during Update

Thank you, I have actually been trying different things and seems that everything is working properly until I set a "File Removal" operation to the folder that the Image folder is located. I have another file located in that folder but have it specified as a persistent file and this is kep...
