Is it possible to create a merge module that will install in both 32 bot and 64 bit environments?

Configurable Splash Screen

Hi, I think I know the answer to this question but I will ask anyway. We launch our product using an AI 6.9.1 product launcher and specify the splash screen. This splash appears every time the product is launched but now we have a requirement to only display the splash if the application is launched...

Installation Order of Merge modules

Hi,

How do I control this?

I have an msi package with a number of child merge modules and some of these children must be installed in a specific order.

How can I acomplish this?

Thanks

Re: Avoiding application (print spooler) restart

Cosmin,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I am going to copy the dll to system32 in a custom action. This will give me full control over the behaviour and enable me to avoid the nasty re-start message.

It will also enable me to select which dll to copy (a previous question)

Again many thanks

Different DLLs for XP and Vista

Hi, How do I manage the fact that I need a different DLL version installed dependent on the OS? For example I need xp/some.dll installed for XP and vista/some.dll installed for vista - note that both dlls have the same name.
