Very slow to save project

We use AI for a couple of very large educational applications. 2+ GB. However, it is ridiculously annoying to get anything done in AI because every save goes through a lengthly (Several minuet process even on an SSD drive) process of "Saving components.." Is there some reason this needs to happen? Why not just save the dang project file?

This is normal behavior if your handling very large amount of data and unfortunately it's out of our reach. Nonetheless, can you please send us the project file (.AIP) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate?
