"Installed Custom Actions" unter Vista

Hi!

In my project I have an Installed Custom Action that runs an executable installed on the users computer.
On Windows XP machines, this works fine, but on Windows Vista the installer fires an error that says "there is a problem with that package" when it comes to that action.

The custom action is executed an "InstallExecuteSequence\Install", the file is installed in "APPDIR".

Hi,

If your custom action performs system changes it needs to run elevated (in system context). Therefore select the option "Deferred with no impersonation" for this custom action.
