can't install our app on windows 2000 (no service pack)

Our install used to work fine on Windows 2000 with no service packs. We recently tried it again, and now get the message:

"This installation package cannot be installed by the Windows Installer
service. You must install a Windows service pack that contains a newer
version of the Windows Installer service."

We haven't changed anything in the installation itself, and our Supported Operating Systems setting is still "Windows 2000". The installation just copies files and installs one service. We're using AI 2.3.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. It worked with an install built from a previous version of AdvancedInstaller. It seems to have broken with 2.3.

Packages created by Advanced Installer require Windows Installer 2.0 or later to run. Is that installed on the target computer?

You can add it as a prerequisite if you want to make sure it is present.
