Add Users to groups

I'm creating a package for some software which in order to run needs the user to be a member of a goup which it creates on the local machine (CIETP User).

Is there a way this can be built into the MSI to add the "domain users" group to this custom group during the installation?

Many Thanks

Hi,

You can create a custom group and then a user for it through the "Users and Groups" page. However, you cannot modify an existing group or change the group of the existing users.

This could be done through a custom action, but I'm not sure how this custom action would look like. You can read more about custom actions here:

Hi,

This feature is available only in an Enterprise project, therefore, you need to change the type of your project. For this you can use the "Project" -> "Options" menu and the "Project Type" tab.

Also, please note that the trial version of Advanced Installer includes all the features available.
