Problem With Xml Configuration

Hi.

I imported a .config as XML file into an AI project. At deployment time, I am making several updates to it (based upon user input). There are no issues with a successful installation.

The problem occurs during a failed installation. The config file is not removed. When the user then re-runs the installation, the contents of this file are appended to the one that was left behind during the failed installation. This then causes the (now successfully installed) application to fail.

Perhaps I am configuring the "XML File Install Tab" incorrectly?

-i have enabled "Create file if it doesn't already exist"
-i have enabled "Remove file on uninstall"
-i am attaching it to a component (a DLL) that I know is removed on uninstallation.

Any feedback would be most welcome.
