Force Reboot without promt

Hi.
First..GREAT software...I love it ;-)

My problem is how to do a Forced Reboot after the program install.
I have "Limit to Basic User Interface" Checked as I want an Unattended installation.
I have the "Installation Option / ReBoot Prompts" without luck...
The best one was "Force Reboot after install" but it prompts the client for a keypress (OK) to reboot.
I dont want this prompt...How do I "bypass" the user prompt here?

(Im using ver 6.31 adv. installer)

Thanks

Re: Force Reboot without promt

Hi,
I dont want this prompt...How do I "bypass" the user prompt here?
Since the "Limit to basic user interface (simple progress and error handling)" option makes the package perform an installation with basic UI, a completely silent installation can be performed only through the MSIEXEC command line (the "/qn" parameter). Therefore, a MSI package cannot automatically suppress this prompt (you need to launch it with the MSIEXEC command line).

Re: Force Reboot without promt

Ok...Thanks for that answer...
Is there ANY other way to make the installation "One click" installation?
If I didnt select the "Limit to basic user interface"?

Thanks for answering.

If you want to force a reboot after the installation is complete, the only way to make it completely silent is by using the "/qn" parameter. Note that this parameter can be passed by an EXE boostrapper:
- go to the Bootstrapper tab of the Media page
- check the "Create EXE setup file" option
- select the "Include install files in EXE" option
- set the "MSI Command Line" field to /qn
- build the package

With this approach you will have an EXE setup file, not a MSI, but it will run completely silent.
