Hello,
I create plug-ins for other applications. My challenge when installing my applications is the files need to be placed into a directory that was created from another install program, from another company. 90% of the time, I know where these files are, but if the user changed the default location when installing the original software, I am lost.
Does Advanced Installer have a way to search for a directory name on the machine? Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Yes, you can search for a folder by using the Search page. The name of the search is an installer property which will contain the path of the folder. Therefore, you can use it in the Files and Folders page to create a new property-based folder. In this folder you can add the files you want to install.
Please note that the User Guide contains the Install files in a custom folder how-to which may help you.
