Automated upgrade

We have been using for Advanced Installer for a while. It does a great job for us and we really like the simple user interface and custom actions for adding our own house cleaning routines.

Now I have a question. We are moving towards a web deployment solution and allow the user to check the latest version and automatically download and install the new version. Do I need to do this outside the installer, i.e., write my own application to download the new version and call the installer, or the Advance Installer has this type of feature built in?

If the feature is built in the Advanced Installer, can you provide me some documentation and sample to illustrate how I can do it?

Please note that Advanced Installer includes the Auto Updater which allows you to distribute upgrades for your installations. You can read more about it here:
