I've got an app that associates with .eml on installation, and all of that is great. A slight issue that I have is that when it's uninstalled the FileType is completely removed rather than just disassociated or reverted to what it was prior.
Is this just one of those things to be expected?

Hi Matt,
Unfortunately this is the normal Windows Installer behavior.
A solution would be to use the Registry page to manually create the registry entries for the file association. After that, you can use some custom actions to backup the original registry keys during the install process and restore them during uninstall.
