Registry - Current user - per machine?

Hi

Unable to find this on the search feature. I'm trying to create a per machine package that populates registry keys in the "current user" hive for each user of the machine. So far, I've only been able to get this to work for one user, I tried putting keys in both "current user" and "local machine/current user". I tried both per machine and per user settings. No luck so far.

Do I need to create a transform manually?

plz help

Re: Registry - Current user - per machine?

Hi Travis,

Please note that the registry entries which need to be available to all users should be created in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hive.

Unfortunately Windows does not allow an user to change the registry hive of another user account. However, you can try using the self healing feature to automatically create the registry entries when the application is launched from another user account.
