Rename Language

Hey,

is there any chance to rename the main label of a language before installer starts?

I need to rename "Deutsch (Deutschland) to "PAL" and "Englisch (USA)" to "NTSC".

Re: Rename Language

Hi,

I'm afraid that this is not supported by Advanced Installer. The language selection dialog can show only the languages included in the package. A solution would be to create your own custom EXE bootstrapper which shows a custom dialog and passes the selected option to the MSI through a custom property.

Re: Rename Language

Too bad...

I don't want to use a third-party tool just for creating the bootstrapper for showing custom language labels.

Where do Advanced Installer get this labels? Really no chance to replace / rename it?

The strings used by the language selection dialog are obtained from the system according to the languages included in the package. Therefore, they cannot be modified.
