Vista upgrade

Hello.

have a little issue with my Advanced Installer in vista:
i created a new version of my SW, advanced the version number in AI and created the new msi.
when installing on XP, old version is removed automatically. when installing on Vista, it does not.
i get a message that the old version must be remove before running the installer.

any idea? did i do something wrong?

Thanks!

Re: Vista upgrade

Hi,

When you've created the new version of your software Advanced Installer asked you if you wish to change the product code. The answer to this question should have been yes.

If you did changed the product code you could try this Windows Installer cleanup utility to remove some other testing packages of your software that might still be present on your Vista system and not allowing the program to install properly.
