Me too! Please please let there be an option to turn back on the old style menu. I absolutely HATE and DISGUST the ribbon interface popping up in more and more products. This is the main reason for me not to use Microsoft Office anymore and instead stick with OpenOffice, and it will be a BIG turnoff for using Advanced Installer.
Why?
Because with the old menu, ALL entries available in the GUI is also available via very quick keyboard shortcuts. Help-About: Previously Alt-H then A - now I have to arrow down to Help which is very cumbersome. Alt-I-R-R-Enter-Enter used to bring me straight to the file and folders page of an installation in less than half a second. On the Ribbon, all these options under the old menu item Installation seem to have completely vanished from keyboard control, so that using the mouse is a must. The mouse should only need to be used in absolute emergencies. A good Windows program is a program where mouse interaction is an option, not a requirement for any control (still of course, it should also be a requriement that all controls of a program can be reached with mouse).
I realize that there are a lot of users out there that don't care because they only use the mouse for navigating anyway, but the option should absolutely still be available. The KEYBOARD is still the main tool for navigation and control for many of us - especially us computer technicians, who go beyond word processing.
So PLEASE: Let there be an option buried somewhere in the Options menu of the Ribbon to turn the old style text menu with its shortcut keys back on.
