Editing / Copying .cfg files during Install

Postby ElyCyan » Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:54 am

Hi all,

I'm working with the trial version of Advanced Installer Enterprise Edition. I am looking for a specific functionality that I'm not able to find: editing and/or copying .cfg files after the installation move step inside my install, based on the system locale. My product is deployed to several regions in the world, each with their own set of languages. I need to be able to install the program AND set the config files to the correct locale (the program itself does not auto-detect so it relies on this .cfg). Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to Advanced Installer forums,

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate Advanced Installer.

If you have a multilingual package you can follow How do I install two files with the same name in the same folder? article and set the condition for each file using the ProductLanguage property (this condition is predefined from the Edit Condition Dialog).

All the best,
Mihai
