Running MSINOF32.EXE

As part of the installation I'd like to ensure that msinfo32 is run to generate a full report - generally this is done with msinfo32 /report <path to report file>

The problem is that msinfo32.exe is often not on the path - it gets installed in common files\microsoft shared\msinfo

How can I replicate this in AI ? I've tried using the CommonFilesFolder macro but the program _appears_ to fail each time. Is there a logging option to see what actually happened ?

Starting from CommonFilesFolder is the right approach. Then create microsoft shared\msinfo inside.

The 2.3 release will include easy Run&Log. For now you can start the MSI with msiexec, whose command line has loggin options.
