COnditions on Services

Hello Support,

I have added the services files as features in the AI and services exe's in the "Service" Page. If a particular feature is not selected, the service file related to that feature will not be installed. Actual issue is that, I do not want to install the service if a service related feature is unselected. I have tried to apply the conditions to the service components, but it dint work. Is there any way to place conditions on the service installation?

Hi Soni,

Unfortunately this is not supported directly. However, you can try using a custom action which modifies the feature actions based on other features. This custom action should run after "InstallExecuteSequence" -> "MigrateFeatureStates".

You can find a sample VBScript custom action in the Show a custom feature selection dialog how-to.
