Hello and welcome to the Advanced Installer Forums,

Since this is a JAVA installer package issue you should contact the JAVA support team regarding this issue.

However, there seems to be a problem with the previous version uninstallation. It seems that somehow some folders have invalid values in the upgrade process(":"). You could try to manually uninstall the old version and then install the new version.

Regards,
Mihai

I have never Previously install Java, this a completely new install of it.

I tried to contact Java, but all they have is liveperson. "www.liveperson.com" http://www.liveperson.com/lp/java-help/?BanID=22489 which is absolutely useless, the tech people have no idea what i am saying.

I tried to fix it using this website http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549, but all these registry items are ok.
Value name Type Value data
Common AppData REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data OK
Common Desktop REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop OK
Common Documents REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Documents OK
Common Favorites REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Favorites OK
Common Programs REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs Ok
Common Start Menu REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start menu OK
Common Startup REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup OK
Common templates REG_EXPAND_SZ %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Templates OK
but the MSI errors give me an unknown location, could an Orca Editor fix this?
