Update Without Entering Serial Again

Postby .Net » Wed Apr 11, 2012 3:29 am

How would I allow updating my product if a version is already installed without having to re-enter the serial key?

When the key is pulled from the registry will it count as another activation on the server for server side validation??

This depends on how you set your server side validation mechanism. For example if you implemented the "Limited number of activations (serial number validations)" section from our "How do I configure server-side serial number validation?" article, each successful activation is accounted for.
