Could not create a temporary file?

I'm using the free version to create my first "simple" installer.
I running as an administrator. Running Windows 7.

When I build the .msi, the error says:
Creating CAB file(s)... error.
Could not create a temporary file.

I tried to save the project into different folders and retry, but no success.
I then also disabled the "Build Caching". Still fail.

Any idea?

Re: Could not create a temporary file?

Hi and welcome to Advanced Installer forums.

Thank you for your interest in Advanced Installer.

I'm not sure why you encounter this behavior. Can you reproduce the problem in a new "Simple" project?

Also, please make sure that you have enough disk space on the drive where the temporary files are created and that you have administrator privileges.

Re: Could not create a temporary file?

I have the same problem.

My Drive C (windows8.1) is almost full.

when i want to build my project, it will use drive C for temporary files and this error will pop up.

i've changed all locations to my other drives, still uses Drive C!!!

how to change the temporary file location?

tnx

Re: Could not create a temporary file?

Hi,

Indeed, Advanced Installer uses the TEMP folder when it builds a project and there is no predefined option to avoid this. As a workaround, you can change the TEMP folder location to another drive.
