Advanced Installer 4.4 - Release Notes

On October 3rd, 2006 Caphyon LLC is proud to announce the release of Advanced Installer 4.4, in Freeware, Professional, For Java and Enterprise editions. This release is available for download on the Advanced Installer website.

Version 4.4 implements the LZMA compression algorithm in bootstrapper for up to 50% smaller install packages. Also new are the support for creating user accounts and groups, a dependency detector for EXE/DLL files, the Ukrainian and Czech localizations, a set of predefined launch conditions, and many more.

Bug fixes

• Creating or opening French projects throws exception
• Updater Auto-Close Application failing to search for main window title
• Buttons Next, Back, Cancel etc. not translated on non-primary builds
• Exception when creating an URL shortcut using the wizard
• Windows Installer 3.1 is reported as 3.01
• Wrong rename of INI file when moved in a folder with a Java product of the same name
• Bootstrapper not running on reboot if the "HKCU\....\Run" key did not exist
• Updater failing to download updates from URLs that contain certain characters
