Dialog Repository

After creating a new dialog using the Dialog Editor you have the possibility to save that dialog so that you can use it in another project. The dialog is saved in the Dialogs Repository. The path of this folder on Windows XP is:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\Repository

and on Windows Vista it is:

C:\ProgramData\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\Repository

There are several operations that involve the Dialogs Repository:

  • Export a dialog from the project to the repository.
  • Import a dialog from the repository to the project.
Dialog Export

When a dialog from the project is exported, in the Repository directory a new folder that has the same name as the dialog is created. The folder will also contain the dialog's corresponding dictionaries for every selected build language.

NoteOnly custom dialogs can be exported. The mandatory dialogs cannot be exported even if they are modified.

Dialog Import

When importing a dialog from the repository to the project there are also imported the corresponding dictionaries (if they exist) for every selected build language.
