The Prerequisite Install Conditions Tab

In this tab you can set the install conditions of a new prerequisite or change the install conditions of an existing one.

Launch Conditions

Operating System

This section allows you to specify which Windows versions are supported by the prerequisite. If a check box is checked then the prerequisite will support the Windows version in the combo box. Also, for the same platform type all the Windows versions higher than the selected version will be supported.

If one of the check boxes in this section is not checked, the prerequisite will not be launched for Windows versions associated with the check box.

Supported Languages

Restricts the prerequisite to run only if the Windows Operating System is installed in one of the specified languages. If the language of the Windows Operating System is not supported by the prerequisite, it will be ignored.

Searches

This section allows you to specify the search criterias used to determine if the prerequisite is installed or not. Also, these searches will be used to verify if the prerequisite was installed correctly. You can specify several searches for the same prerequisite.

Adding a new search to the installation condition

Use the [ New... ] button, the "New..." context menu option, or press the Insert key while the focus is in the list. The Edit Prerequisite Search Dialog will be displayed allowing you to specify a new search.

Editing a search from the installation condition

Use the [ Edit... ] button, the "Edit..." context menu option, or press the Space key while the an item from the list is selected. The Edit Prerequisite Search Dialog will be displayed allowing you to edit the attributes of a search.

Deleting a search from the installation condition

Use the [ Remove ] button, the "Remove" context menu option, or press the Delete key while an item from the list is selected.

Specifying the order of the searches

The order of the searches in the list specifies the order in which the searches will be performed when the condition is evaluated. Use the [ Up ] / [ Down ] buttons or the "Up" / Down context menu items to change it.

Install if any of the above searches fail

If this option is enabled, at least one search must fail in order for the prerequisite to be installed.

Install if all the above searches fail

If this option is enabled all the searches must fail in order for the prerequisite to be installed.
