XML Editor partial import

I have an existing install with many XML files that were created with the editor. For my next release of software, I have to augment some of those files with literally 50-100 lines of XML. Going back and doing a complete re-import would lose all my settings and variables that I've coded in there for...

Re: Edit XML file - twice!

I do not have this option selected in either of my two edits yet the backup file is still produced for the case where both edits are required. It still happens and it was a pain to figure out a workaround without having to invent a custom action, so we're leaving behind how we were able to make thi...

I have an install that is organized into several different builds, which are combinations of one or more features. Several of the features must modify the web.config file to add in assemblies and web services, but only if the feature is included (because the feature includes a one or more DLLs refer...

32-bit web app on a 2003x64 system

What I need is a way to do this on a 2003x64 system only: Configuring IIS to Run 32-bit Applications on 64-bit Windows (IIS 6.0): http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/405f5bb5-87a3-43d2-8138-54b75db73aa1.mspx?mfr=true Would be great if this were just a setting i...

Re: Inconsistent Line Endings and XML Editor

Found it. Was buried in an XML comment that was added to the original web.config by ASP.Net AJAX 1.0. Thanks!

Inconsistent Line Endings and XML Editor

I have an install package that uses the XML Editor to generate configuration files. After install, when I go to open those configuration files, I'm getting the following message from Visual Studio: The line endings in the following file are not consistent. Do you want to normalize the line endings? ...

SQL Scripts with conditions

Would like the ability to be able to set a condition on when a SQL script should be run. In other words, if I want the MSI to skip one of my SQL Scripts because the user checks a checkbox in a dialog page, that would be most useful (and likely pretty simple to implement). Would also make it easier t...
