Re: FullTrust required but not allowed

Hello and welcome to our forums, We apologize for the delayed reply. From our experience this could happen if you converted a Win32 app into an MSIX/APPX package and now you are trying to upload it as native UWP app into the Microsoft Store. If your built APPX is embedding a Win32 app then please tr...

Re: Merge conflict after two people added files to installer.

Hello, Please keep in mind we do not recommend at all to use the merge operation of your versioning control tool for our setup projects. When you need to commit a change in the setup project we recommend you to commit the AIP file entirely as a binary file. Have a look on our "Git Merge Issues ...

Re: Windows Features - supporting future Target Operating Systems

Hello, I am afraid your request cannot be accomplished without rebuilding the setup project in the future when we will also integrate support for the forthcoming operating systems. We cannot guarantee future OS versions compatibility in the current version of Advanced Installer. This is simply becau...

Re: trial x86 and x64

Hello Gwendoline,

To do so you can just right click on your current trial item (in "Licensing" page) and use the "New Synced Trial" option. Then set the synced trial platform type to 64-bit library and use this trial.dll for your 64-bit app.

All the best,
Daniel

Re: updater.exe and missing AIU file

Hello Kevin, Beside Frank's suggestions you can also open in a text editor the Updater.ini file and check the URL set as value for the URL ini key. Just try to launch this URL into a web browser of the current machine and make sure the updates configuration file content is displayed into your web br...

Re: VSTS SetVersion before Build

Hello and welcome to our forums,

Yes, this is possible by using our "SetVersion" command line option in the "Command Line Arguments" section of your Advanced installer build task.

Re: Firefox: After Repackaging and Install Firefox runs an installer every time it is run

Hello and welcome to our forums, This could happen due to the "Advertised shortcut" flag set on your installed application shortcuts. This will indeed trigger a product repair operation each time the shortcut is used if there are missing installation resources. Maybe the browser applicatio...

Re: App pool issues in windows 10

Hello,

I am afraid this is because our 11.8 version of Advanced Installer did not have support for Windows 10 OS.

Can you please rebuild your setup project using our latest version (15.3) of Advanced Installer and this should work as expected.

All the best,
Daniel

Hello, I'm afraid I do not fully understand the behavior you are trying to describe. Can you please give us more details about this? Maybe exemplify a test case or attach some screenshots. Also, please note it is not recommended to add .Net Framework as a feature-based prerequisite. The recommended ...
