Re: Theme icon not being displayed in theme dialog

I solved this issue by using a program called ICOFX to convert JPG to .ICO file. Renaming BMP file was not enough, neither was using online convertor programs

Theme icon not being displayed in theme dialog

I m using the modern theme. For the case of where I edit the logoicon property with a ico file created from a windows bitmap file, the icon displays correctly within the ai GUI, however, when I build and run the install exe, the icon disappears!! Any reason for this?

Using advanced installer 10

Re: Module not found error since update

Have you tried with a standard ICO file, I suspect the problem is that simply renaming the BMP file is not enough. Best regards, Bogdan No I am using xara to design all my icons and there is no export to ico file. All help thus far in web suggests simply renaming a bitmap file to ico extension. I h...

Re: Custom Dialog and .Net Installer Custom Action

I have had a lo of issues with CA based on the installer class. Take it from me, dont do it and instead use DTF CA action using WIX for visual studio. You can do what u want with this type if CA. You also do not need to install the CA on the client machine like you do wyh the installer class

Re: Custom Action - Explaination

Ok, I think I know the answer to this now. Based on my experience of using javascript, and a custom action based on an installer class. I can see a DTF CA built on VB.NET is wayyyyy easier. You guys should just flat out state in your help that one should not use anything other than a DTF. I could ha...

Re: Custom Action Error 1001; CRAZY - Requiring a blank spa

Ok, slowly getting the hang of this. I see your point. Im using a DTF VB>NET CA now and it is WAYYYYYY simpler and better than using an Installer Class. I recommend you really state in bold - as you say that this class should be avoided. I would have saved so much time. I actually don't see the use ...
