As promised, I'm following up on this as I managed to reproduce the issue on my end and find the culprit.
Basically, it seems that the "Continue with the main installation" flag is ignored in EXE packages during a silent installation.
I have created a ticket in our bug tracking tool ...

In order to achieve that, you can go to "Builds" page --> select "Single EXE" --> select LZMA archive and then click on the "Encrypt archive" checkbox.

That custom action is indeed one specific to Advanced Installer.
Now, why it is failing, I'm afraid I can't say for sure.
However, the most commond cause for this is the custom action being blocked by an AV product - a recent example that gave me some headaches is SentinelOne.

After further investigating this, I can confirm that this looks to be a bug.
I have already forwarded this to our dev team so it can be fixed in a future version of Advanced Installer.
In the meantime, we could try to change the output type to MSI after running this command by using ...

The dialog can not be modified mostly because modifying dialogs requires the "Dialog Editor" feature, which comes in Enterprise.
With that feature, you would be able to modify the dialog, e.g. changing the order of the checkboxes.
