Re: How to install a driver without asking for a destination

Hello David, I think that is the default behavior of your driver and therefore I'm not sure whether it can be changed or not. For instance, if you install it manually, does it prompt you to select the installation location? Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will gladly assist....

Re: Change UI Level based on Install Type

Hello Joseph and welcome to our forums, I think all the problems here come from the fact that your main package is not registered with Windows Instlaler. First of all, you can not enter Maintenance from Control Panel, as the "main" is not appearing over there. Secondly, when relaunching th...

Re: Updates.ini file not being created

Hello,

Do you, by any chance, refer to the updater.txt file? :D

That is indeed downloaded at install time on the customer's machine.

Anyhow, I'm glad to hear everything is working as expected.

Re: Running different .msi package and triggering the maintenance mode

Hello, What you are seeing happens because the PackageCode is changed once you rebuild the project. PackageCode This is not to be confused with the ProductCode property. Although it is a GUID, the package code is not a property referring to a version of your product. It is more specific than that, m...

Re: Disabling Updater during installation

Hello,

Thanks for the explanation, it's clearer for me now what you want to achieve.

I'm afraid the updater does not have an option to be disabled after its' installation.

What you can do, is simply do not call the udpater from your code if a condition is met.

Re: Updates.ini file not being created

Hello, I don't, AI does when you build the targeted project. :D The ini file is created and installed by AI when installed on the target machine. That is indeed true. :) However, please note that the updater.ini file should also be added next to your updater.exe in the project as well. Is it not the...

Re: "Source file not found:"

Hello and welcome to our forums, If I remember this correctly, this might be a limitation of Windows Installer. Since the CAB extraction is not really handled by us, I'm afraid there isn't much we can do here. Thank you for your understanding and please let me know if there is anything else I could ...

Re: Missing Czech Language Translations

Hello Asif, Indeed, using GitHub actions this might not be possible to achieve on your end alone, considering AI is downloaded when you use GitHub Actions. That being said, do you think you can share the dictionary file with me so we can update it on our end? If so, please forward it to me by email ...

Re: Creating installer on AWS Codebuild

Hello and welcome to our forums, Unfortunately, I am not really an expert when it comes to AWS codebuild. However, if this is like any other CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps), then please see my answers to your questions below:\ 1. This only depends on what you need to achieve your setup (the minim...
