Re: SQL Dialog

Hello and welcome to our forums, If you are using our predefined "SQLServerConnectionDlg" dialog, all the information is saved into the respective properties of the controls. You can see these properties in the following article: Create the SQL Connection or by going to "Dialogs" page and simply cli...

Re: Using variables in Folder Redirection

Hello Edwin and welcome to our forums,

Unfortunately, it is not quite clear to me what operation you are using to try and copy the file.

If possible, could you please forward me a step-by-step test case which I can follow in order to investigate this on our end?

Best regards,
Catalin

Re: Folder Creation

Hello Ian, I have tested this scenario (without SVN, though) and everything seemed to be working as expected on my end. After adding one more folder on the disk (under the folder that is synchronized), the folder was correctly added in my Advanced Installer project when the synchronization was refre...

Re: Bug in Multiline strings in custom actions

Hello and welcome to our forums, I have tested this and I was indeed able to reproduce the described behavior. I have forwarded this to our development team and hopefully this will be fixed in a future version of Advanced Installer. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Best regards, Catalin

Re: Modify Default Website

Hello Ian,

Unfortunately, it looks like this is not currently possible.

I will add this on our TODO list of improvements and hopefully this will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer.

Best regards,
Catalin

Re: .NET 4.7 and above - enable WCF \ http activation

Hello Ian, What if the target OS doesn't appear in the Target Operating System section? (In this case it will be Windows server 2016 and Windows Serer 2019) Most likely, that version of Advanced Installer does not support that. Please note that Advanced Installer version 12 was released in 2015. At ...

Hello Fazlur and welcome to our forums, On the respective Windows Server 2019 machine, is IIS installed? If IIS is not installed, then the property might indeed be empty. If that does not help, could you please forward me a download link for the setup by e-mail at support at advancedinstaller dot co...

Re: Import Visual Studio Project Exception calling

Hello and welcome to our forums, The steps you need to follow are presented above. Here is what you need to do: 1. check whether .NET Core 3.1 SDK is installed or not. If not, install it using the following link: .NET Core 3.1 SDK (v3.1.401) - Windows x64 Installer 2. after the installation, open a ...

Re: .aip extension

Hello, Most likely, both products create a file association upon installtion. Unfortunately, I'm afraid there isn't any way in which you can distinguish the two - at least not one that I'm aware of. This happens with other products as well. For instance, take the default Notepad and Notepad++ . Both...

Re: Installer Doesn't Think I have Admin Privs

Hello Edward, It looks like the "Run only if current user is an Admin account" launch condition verifies whether or not the package is elevated at the moment this is tested for. This means the user might be an administrator but the package did not yet elevate, meaning the launch condition will fail....

Re: Installer Doesn't Think I have Admin Privs

Hello Edward, That might be happening due to the "Run only if current user is Admin account" option being checked in the "Launch Conditions" page. I have checked this on a test machine where the user is an administrator and everything worked as expected. Could you please double check this once again...

Re: Where to define in Jenkins

Hello Edward, By default, when adding the "Advanced Installer" as a tool in Jenkins (under "Global Tool Configuration" ) GlobalToolConfiguration.png Advanced Installer will be scheduled for download through the "Install automatically" option. InstallAutomatically.png Basically, that tells Jenkins to...

Re: Installer Doesn't Think I have Admin Privs

Hello and welcome to our forums,

I am not quite sure I fully understand the issue here.

If possible, could you please give me some more details (attaching a screenshot of the encountered error would help here as well)?

Best regards,
Catalin
