Re: Out of disk space during project build

You can specify the output folder in the "Builds" page --> "Output" --> "Folder" field.
I am currently pointing this to the NAS, where space is measured in TB. The problem I have is that the local drive has very little space and I think that the build process is creating temporary files such as ...

Out of disk space during project build

I am building a large project with an output folder on a NAS. The project won't build as it says the local drive doesn't have enough disk space yet there is double available compared to the output MSI size (for a the previous build).

How mush spaces does AI typically need to build projects and is ...

Re: How to set Files section to use locale time zone

Thank you so much for looking into this Catalin. So I understand the behaviour is as a result of calling the Microsoft InstallFiles action rather than anything related to Advanced Installer. In this case, I might try to contact Microsoft via my MVP status. If I discover anything else I'll report ...

I have a large MSI project which includes several hundred MB of graphical asset files which are pulled into the MSI from a file server. These files are installed on the user's machine via the MSI and then a Windows Scheduled Task uses Robocopy to keep the files up to date with a file server mirror ...

Re: Tutorial - Office (2016) Add-In (Word) installation based on Office bitness

Thank you so much for this Catalin. I have tested with a PowerPoint application add-in (.ppam) and it works as expected. With this type of add-in, the use of the Project Wizard is different or not required.

Re: Tutorial - Office (2016) Add-In (Word) installation based on Office bitness

Thank you for this tutorial, Catalin. It was very helpful.

Is there a reason you didn't use the Office "Bitness" registry setting to check the bitness of the installation?

I found this other article on this that seems to work for me . Are there cases where it won't?

keith.

I had the same ...

Create duplicate HKLM registry keys for Office 32/64 add-in installer

I'm building an add-in installer for Microsoft Office. The AI package is defined as 32 bit and activates the add-in (which is 32 and 64 bit compatible) for All Users via the HKLM hive of the registry.

Acording to this Microsoft Article , the bitness of the Office application determines which of ...
