Re: Changing copy and frequency for reboot message boxes

Bumping this in case it got lost. Is there any official note from Advanced Installer on this?

Changing copy and frequency for reboot message boxes

Hello! We've enabled prompts to reboot the computer following an installation. During the process, some users still have the application running in the background, making a similar prompt to the one below show up twice during the installation: https://i.stack.imgur.com/ERzZm.png And then after the i...

Re: Certificate expired -> Update is no longer silent + triggers antivirus threat (IDP.Generic)

Heya Catalin, appreciate the follow up! Our old certificate has expired, so that's not a route we can take but I think you're right that that's the approach to take the next time a similar issue comes around.

Understood. Thank you for checking.

One other option we've considered is changing our certificate provider. Would changing our provider to one that can provide the same Subject get around this issue?

Re: Certificate expired -> Update is no longer silent + triggers antivirus threat (IDP.Generic)

Hi Catalin, Thanks for the quick response. The Subject fields of the two certificates are different in 2 ways: The old certificate had an extra locality line. The cert provider confirmed they can issue a new cert with this line (not an issue) A SERIALNUMBR field in the Subject itself. The provider s...

Certificate expired -> Update is no longer silent + triggers antivirus threat (IDP.Generic)

Hey folks, we have an app that is distributed with an installer, and receives silent updates via the Advanced Installer updater. The package is signed via an EV certificate that has recently expired. We've reissued the certificate and update AI to use the new certificate. However, when we tried to u...
