Re: Installer Requires An Active Internet Connection for Installation

Hi, Unfortunately there is still no useful info in the last sent log file either. However, we have further investigated on this and I can confirm you there seems to be some issues with the implementation we currently use for our Internet check launch condition. Currently we use the INetworkListManag...

Re: Error with ExitDialog

Hi Jose, We apologize for the delayed reply on this. We tested the scenario and replicated the issue. This seems to be an Advanced Installer issue indeed, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will try to add a fix in the future and when so we will update you on this thread. Re: Pin to taskbar is not working in windows 10

Hi Justin,

I am afraid we weren't able to find any solution for this option on Windows 10.

So, this option will not apply/work on Windows 10 machines. Thank you for your understanding.

Re: Do I need separate updater service for each deployed app?

Hi, We apologize for the delayed reply on this. If you build a separate setup package for each one of your applications and then all of these setups are added as prerequisites into a unified setup package, then you will have to use a separate Updater for each of your app setup package. And they will...

Re: Cannot use VS extension anymore.

Great, thank you for your follow up on this. Most likely the related Advanced Installer issue was caused by a Visual Studio issue that is affecting us too. In previous versions of Visual Studio there is an issue with one of the SDK dependencies our VS extension uses and I can confirm you the only wo...

Re: problem pinnacle studio 21

Hi,

The solution to this error is to launch the EXE setup package built for this setup project. When you build an EXE setup package type you cannot run the MSI installation database outside of the EXE setup package.

Re: How to bypass the windows UAC in silent installation mode

Hi and welcome to our forums, The only solution you can apply for this is at install time. You can get a successful installation only if you make sure the installation process is launched elevated (or is triggered as a child process of an already elevated process). There is no solution you can apply...

Re: Multi Disk Installer won't run from Disk

Hi Stacie, Thank you for helping us to isolate this issue. I have tested the scenario and replicated the behavior. Unfortunately this seems to be an issue that replicates in our newest versions of Advanced Installer. We will try to fix this in a future version of Advanced Installer, thank you for br...
