Re: Localization problem

Hello, It appears you are localizing your paths. Please make sure you provided translations for the localization ids of those paths, in the language dictionary for the language your package is using. Since you are using italian, please make sure those paths have an italian translation. If you are ne...

Re: Location of temporary files

Hi Tim and welcome to Advanced Installer Forums, If you want to run a file as a custom action, but not want to have that file installed on the user's computer, you can run it as an Attached custom action: - on the Custom Actions page, right click and select "New Attached Custom Action" - s...

Re: executing exe file

Hi Sony,

You can place the command line inside a property, on the Install Parameters page, and use that property in the field instead.

Re: Run VB EXE-File in Administrator Mode on Vista

Hi Ramon, If you are looking for running your executable as administrator, make sure you add it as a custom action with the "deferred with no impersonation" option enabled. Also, make sure you have "Per machine if user is administrator, per user otherwise" option enabled on the I...

Re: How to install 32 or 64 bit prerequisite .NET framework?

Hello Peter,

Thank you for reporting this. It is indeed a bug, and a fix will be included in a future version of Advanced Installer.
In the meantime, it is ok if you just replace the existing URL with a correct one.

Best regards,
Gabriel

Re: UpgradeCode

Hi Glenn, ProductCode and UpgradeCode are Windows Installer properties that are written in the Property Table when the package is built. They can be set from the command line just like any other property: C:\Program Files (x86)\Caphyon\Advanced Installer 8.0.1\bin\x86>advancedinstaller.com /edit tes...

Re: how to change the launch condition sequence

Hello, The order in which launch conditions are evaluated can not be changed. Even if you move your IIS launch condition to custom launch conditions, the order in which is run is still not guaranteed. If you need control over the order, you will have to use a custom action instead of using launch co...

Re: How to run the SQL Script

Hello, I am afraid I could not find any keyword named "DELIMITER" in the SQL documentation. Perhaps that is causing the issue. Also, I am not sure what "//" does in your script. But I'm not that familiar with SQL, so these might be valid keywords / valid syntax. What I can say is...
