Re: Editing Java classpath from command line

Hello,

I am afraid this is not currently possible.
The following section of our guide describes all the options editable from the command line:

Re: Installing Vendor User-Specified Virtual Directory

Hello,

I am afraid this is the Windows Installer's behavior. As a workaround, you can set the same text and value for each combo box element.

Re: Add a print o save button to the LicenseAgreement Dialog

Hello,

You can easily add such a button from the Dialog Editor. Please follow this how to:

Re: scheduled task causing package install to fail

Hello,

Please make sure you do NOT have the following configuration on your scheduled task's Repeat tab:

Code: Select all

Repeat task
Every 1 hour
For the duration of 1 hour
The duration needs to be greater than the period.

Gabriel

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this.
I can confirm this behavior occurs on both w2k8 R2 and Vista. We are currently investigating the cause.

Re: Set Product/File Ver with Version read from a file?

Hi Peter,

You can use the /SetVersion command line option to set the version for an Advanced Installer projects. Use "-fromfile" parameter to set the version from a file.

Re: Ask User What To Install?

Hello, Feature based prerequisites are practically prerequisites that are organised into features. You might choose to place other components under that feature, that will install along with that feature. For example, if you have .net assemblies, you might want to add those assemblies under the .NET...

Re: Create a update

Hello,

You might be interested in using a patch:
http://www.advancedinstaller.com/user-g ... patch.html

However, patches can only be installed if the program has already been installed on the machine.
Full installers can not do partial installs I am afraid.

Re: x64 Unhandled exception on repackager

Hello, This issue occurred with Windows 7 64bit versions before Windows 7 64bit RTM. There was a problem with the operating system's runtime which was fixed in the RTM. A workaround for this issue would be to force the repackager to 32bit by passing it the /ForceX86 command line parameter, as specif...

Re: How to set files that must be deleted on rebot?

Hello, I am afraid this is not as easy as it sounds. For an installer to delete its files upon uninstall after a reboot, you might want to try the sample project in the following post: http://www.advancedinstaller.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10507&p=28460#p28431 The sample initiates a reb...
