Re: Installer autodetects compile time references instead of runtime references - uses ref folder instead of lib folder

Hello and welcome to our forums,

Unfortunately, I can not really say why this is happening.

I have forwarded this to our development team for further investigations and I will update this thread as soon as I will have any useful information.

Re: stop install if app bitness is wrong

Hello Scott, If you do not want to use the custom "Launch Conditions" approach, perhaps we could proceed as it follows: - have the search that determines if the bitness is correct or not - in the "Custom Actions" page, create a "Display error message" custom action that will be executed right after ...

Re: Tutorial on how to create consecutive patches.

Hello, Let's consider the following example so we can better understand the concept of consecutive patches. Let's say we have the following three versions of our setup: - version 1.0.0 - version 1.0.1 - version 1.0.2 Now, let's say we create a patch between version 1.0.0 and 1.0.1. When applying thi...

Re: User Profile - Powershell

Hello Tiffany,

You are welcome!

As a followup to my last thread, this will most likely be available in the next release of Advanced Installer.

From what I could see, we already had it on our TODO list of improvements and it is under testing right now.

Re: Theme Settings in Powershell

Hello Tiffany, I have discussed this with our developer and it looks like it might not be feasible to add this support in our PowerShell automation feature. However, as a workaround, we have thought about the following solution. As a starting point, we could have more .AIP files, each of the .AIP fi...

Re: User Profile - Powershell

Hello Tiffany, I have tested this and it indeed does look like this is not currently supported. Most likely, this is due to the fact that we recently have added the "User Profile" folder and we did not update our PowerShell Automation support accordingly. I have now added this on our TODO list of im...

Re: Create EXE and launch from installer.

Hello Prashanth, In order to achieve that, all you need to do is: - add your PowerShell script in the "Files and Folders" page - in the "Custom Actions" page, add a "Run PowerShell script file" custom action that will launch the above added script This custom action should be added after the "Add re...
