Hi Rohan, Please keep in mind that this is the normal behavior. Starting with Windows Vista the background applications that display a window do not display it in foreground not to spam the user. Re: Product Code is changed during installation

Hi Chris, The Product Code is automatically changed when the package is localized (every language in the Translation page uses a different Product Code). You can change it in the Product Details page, "Product IDs" tab, but this is not recommended. The Product Code is also changed when it ...

Re: 9.7 generating new duplicate components

Hi,

I'm not sure why you are encountering this behavior.

Can you please send us the .AIP (project file) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate it? Also, can you give us a detailed step by step test case scenario so we can try to reproduce the behavior?

Best regards,

Hi,

An EXE installation package is a wrapper for an MSI.

You can take a look on the Difference Between MSI and EXE article.

Re: Install Settings with AddLocal Parameter

Hi,

In order to achieve what you want you must write the name of the ADDLOCAL property with capitals.

For example in the command line you can write the following command:

Code: Select all

msiexec.exe /i "C:\Setup.msi" ADDLOCAL=ALL

Re: Write to an ini upon uninstall

Hi,

I'm afraid we don't have predefined support for this.

In order to achieve what you want you can create your own custom action with this functionality.
The Read and write windows INI files in VBSscript article can help you.
