Re: Package code property

Hi Dan,

I'll give it a try, but I was already assigning to the Registry action the public property [PATCHNEWPACKAGECODE]

Thank you!

Hello, I am using AI 11.0 on W7 I re-did my AI project to use the Dialog's Published Event: "Install one or more features locally", instead of using my own defined properties and setting the condition for each component to be installed under different Install Modes (which worked for many y...

Re: Browse Folder Dialog: Button width too short

Hello Eusebiu, 1. Nice to be able to translate this way! Good stuff! Developing on Windows 7 Sp1 3. Problem with saving to the Dictionary: Although I clicked "Save changes in a dictionary from repository" and it turned grey, and I saved the project, when I re-opened the project, the change...

Browse Folder Dialog: Button width too short

Hi,

In Enhanced mode, is there any way to change the width of the buttons in the Browse for Folder dialog?

In the German language, the Select/Ok button is too short and the words are truncated.

(I already know how to do this when not using the enhanced mode).

Thnak you!

Re: Exit dialog: Application Launch Checkbox

Hi Daniel,

Great!

That's nice: The green frame around the condition there identifies manual changes to the condtion, and it persists after the Build

Thank you!

Re: MSI launch condition fails:Log window opens automaticall

Hello Dan, You're going to smile at this one: When I created the first packages years ago, (and have been just updating them since), I jumped right into it, and didn't use any predefined themes, but instead added our own custom Dialog pictures and labels, which got automatically added to all the dia...

Re: Conditionally setting permissions on a folder

Hi Eusebiu,

Will then the parent folder inherit the Child's folder permissions when using "Install folder content into Parent folder"?

Thank you!

MSI launch condition fails:Log window opens automatically

Hello, AI 11 When I run the MSI instead of the Setup.exe, and the Launch Condition for the OS Version fails, after clicking the error dialog away, the MSI Log file opens up in Notepad. (When the Setup.exe is started and conditionally errors out, this doesn't happen) Enable Verbose Logging is not che...

Section: Files and Folders - wrong Hot Key

Hello, AI Version 11 Build 55831 In the Files and Folders section, when I right-click on a file and the context menu shows, I can click on "Open" and the file opens with it's associated program. Next to "Open" it shows the Hot Key for "Open" to be F9. This is wrong. It ...

Re: Not allowing installation to future Windows Versions

Hi Dan, You wrote: In order to achieve that you can go in the Launch Conditions Page and specify conditions that must be fulfilled in order for your application to install. As I stated, this package was done as you suggested: Launch Conditions set for the OS. But, the criteria for the launch conditi...

Not allowing installation to future Windows Versions

Hi, A customer of ours just installed an outdated installation package of ours (created with AI) which was created in 2010, onto a Windows 2008 system. The package was created allowing only up to NT Version 501/502 (XP and W2003). We do not want to allow the installation to be executed on a future W...
