Re: Allow signing with CSP PIN-caches (Smartcard Code Signing asks for PIN too many times)

Hi, After further investigating on this on our side it seems actually we do have support to sign the multiple installation files at once. This way the built-in SignTool.exe will be called only once to sign all the installation files at once. And this should help you get rid of the multiple pin reque...

Re: Allow signing with CSP PIN-caches (Smartcard Code Signing asks for PIN too many times)

Hi, I am sorry to hear that. In this case we would recommend you to check with your certificate vendor if there is any setting you can configure for your smartcard driver so that the PIN is not required per each file signing operation, but for each process/session that uses the smartcard to apply di...

Re: License not working as of yesterday

Hello and welcome to out forums. This may happen if your machine hardware configuration has changed. Our license file is computer specific and each time your machine hardware configuration changes the license become invalid and Advanced Installer reverts to trial mode. The solution in this case is t...

Re: Can't Build from Electron App

Hi Çağatay and welcome to our forums,

Not so sure why this happens. Could you send by email at support at advancedinstaller dot com your .AIP (project file) and the full build log displayed by Advanced Installer? So we can fully test and investigate your scenario?

All the best,
Daniel

Re: Pinned application icons get invalidated on update

Hi Éric,

I am afraid such programmatic options (to alter the pinned apps state) is forbidden by Microsoft. Microsoft firmly states that pinning/unpinning an app should be exclusively a manual (not programmatic) user choice.

Thank you for your understanding.

All the best,

Re: Azure DevOps - License removal at Post-job

Hi, Our dev team released a fix for this issue. From now on, when you have concurrent pipelines building an Advanced Installer setup project you can skip the license cleanup on post-build task. To do so you should just define a pipeline variable like this: Name: advancedinstaller.cleanup Value: fals...

Re: Azure DevOps with aic File

Hi, To achieve what you want you should simply copy the content of your .aic file (excluding its first line: ;aic) and add the commands in the "Command Line Arguments" section of your DevOps build task. For instance: SetVersion 1.2 SetProperty TESTPROP="TestValue" Save screen.jpg Hope this helped. A...

Re: Error while setup tries to configure IIS

Hi Zsolt, I am afraid the sent log file does not contain any useful info regarding the error cause. It seems the installation just fails to enable the Windows Features and/or Server Roles you configured into your setup project. Could you please try your customer to run the setup package with a debug...

Re: Azure DevOps - License removal at Post-job

Hi Gabriel, Also, as another possible workaround solution just add a "PowerShell Script" task (just after "Build Advanced Installer" task) with the following code: Write-Host "##vso[task.setvariable variable=advinst.cleanup;]" Check attached screenshot. image.png This should help you get rid off the...

Re: Azure DevOps - License removal at Post-job

Hi Gabriel, I have talked with our dev team about this limitation and we will try to add an improvement in this regard. We will try to make available a pipeline variable you could define in Azure DevOps and when such variable is set the license file cleanup on post-job task to be skipped. When such ...

Re: Azure DevOps - License removal at Post-job

Hi Gabriel, Indeed this is our current default design. The License file is deleted on post-job task. As a workaround, yes please use a "Advanced Installer Build" task (instead of a batch to call Advanced Installer) and specify your license key in the "Advanced Installer Build" task. screen2.jpg Let ...
