Request: TFS2015 / VSO Build Task

Hi,

I'm aware that you have basic support for build systems by using the command line, however it would be nice if you could supply a custom build task for Microsoft's built vNext system, which is used for Visual Studio Online (And TFS 2015+).

It's relatively simple to do, to the point where I would consider doing it myself, but you guys are the experts and could perhaps write something that's a little bit more useful for others.

Hi Dan,

Is there a way to build on the VSO Hosted Agents? They are limited in what software they come with (https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/docs ... l#software), but perhaps there is a way to install Advanced Installer as part of the build via the command line?

I also couldn't find TFS mentioned in the release notes from 12.8.

Please accept our apologies for our delayed reply.

Since there is no way to install the Advanced Installer on the Hosted Server platform, then I'm afraid we don't have build support for VSO Hosted Agents.

In what regards the vNext release notes of AI 12.8, indeed it seems we overlooked this improvement in the release notes.
