Signing with EV Certificate

We purchased an EV Certificate from Sectigo formerly Comodo and it comes only on a "Smart Card". Therefore every time on rebuilds one has to paste / click OK several times to sign each embedded exe and the output msi and exe. It is ridiculous.

Advanced Installer will become even more valuable if you will figure out how to secure the Smart Card PIN and employ it automatically when prompted.

Re: Signing with EV Certificate

Hey Catalin,

Does something have to be enabled in 17.4.1 for the PIN to be cached? I just upgraded from 17.2 and am still getting prompted just as much (20 times per build!).

Thanks!

Re: Signing with EV Certificate

Hi and welcome to our forums,

Could you try to install and configure an authentication client as exposed on "Extended Validation Certificate save password?" thread and see if this helps?

All the best,
Daniel
