Thank you for your interest in creating these translations.

However, both these languages do not have an ANSI codepage (they are Unicode only) and thus they cannot be used with MSI packages.

Hi there.

I just recently discovered that the Norwegian (bokmal) dictionary had some strings in Norwegian (nynorsk). In addition some dialogs had no translation (ShortcutDlg, StartMenuShortcutsDlg, SQLConnectionDlg, TemplateDlg, TemplateSpawnDlg, and MsiRMFilesInUse). I needed to do the translation of the ShortcutDlg as we discovered that this particular dialog appeared in english in our install package while all others were in Norwegian. This seemed a bit amateurish. Most of these other dialogs are of no use to me, but I figured I could do the translation while I was at it.

If anyone want it, I'll gladly e-mail it to you. Contact me at marius at ravnstudio dot no. Also, I'm sending it to the Advanced Installer team so they can update their file if they see it fit to do so.

Hi,
I am most interested in Hebrew and Arabic translations. Are they available?
My team really needs them for we are developing a product that needs to support He and Ar.
We have been using Advanced Installer for a while now, but didn't realize they are missing, until the client just reported them as unsupported.

Any help?
Claudia

also, our own translations (for example Control Panel - tool tip which is placed in the ini file -> description) are not displayed correctly. they show "???? ???" even if we can see the .ail files correctly on our systems, the build transforms them into ???

I'm afraid that we don't have Hebrew and Arabic translations. However, we are looking for translators for these languages. If you are interested, please contact us at support at advancedinstaller dot com.

This behavior may have multiple causes. If you are using an EXE bootstrapper, please make sure that the "Windows 95" option is unchecked in the "Launch Conditions" tab of the "Prerequisites" page. Also, you can try selecting the "UTF-8 codepage" option in the Msi tab of the "Media" page.

thanks for responding so quickly...
I guess we'll have to make the translations on our own eventually, couse we have the means but not the time...
so I'll talk to my team, and see if they are interested in collaborating.
