Ability to use Properties in shortcut name

It would be nice if it were possible to use Properties in the name of a shortcut.

For example, under Edit Shortcut Properties, I would like to be able to specify [ProductName] as the name of the shortcut.

More generally, it would be good if Properties were available in any text box in the program.

Thanks.

Hi Bruce,

I'm afraid that it is not possible to use Properties when defining the name of the shortcut because that value is not formatted type and Windows Installer does not allow it.

Generally the values of the strings can be specified through a property only if the are of formatted type. Advanced Installer cannot make a value of formated type if Windows Installer does not support it.
