To install a font follow these steps:
- go to the "Files and Folders" page
- in the directory tree, navigate to "Windows Volume\Windows\Fonts"
- add your font file there
- right click your font file and choose Properties from the context menu
- in the "Font" tab, check the "Register font" checkbox.
- if your font file is a "True-Type" or "True-Type Collections" font, leave the "Registration Name" field blank, otherwise provide a name for your font
I am not sure why you are encountering this behavior. Please send us your .aip project file and an uninstall log to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can further investigate this issue.
Is this operation in the trial version .. right click the font after adding to "in the directory tree, navigate to "Windows Volume\Windows\Fonts""
I do not see the following:
right click your font file and choose Properties from the context menu
- in the "Font" tab, check the "Register font" checkbox.
- if your font file is a "True-Type" or "True-Type Collections" font, leave the "Registration Name" field blank, otherwise provide a name for your font
Yes, this operation is available in the trial version of Advanced Installer.
However, since this post dates back to 2009, the UI has changed a bit.
Here is how you can achieve this:
- right click on the font
- "Properties"
- go to "Registration" tab
- click on "Register font"
- if your font file is a "True-Type" or "True-Type Collections" font, leave the "Registration Name" field blank, otherwise provide a name for your font
is it possible to add a font to Advanced Installer to use it only for a text inside the installer dialogs?
I would like to use "Roboto condensed" for the ProductNameForSplash.
thank you very much for your reply, I appreciate your support very much!
I tried it with the Google font Ubuntu for a test and it works exactly as you mentioned.
It does not seem to work for Roboto Condensed though. The font family does not even show up in C:\Windows\fonts, but I guess that is not a problem with Advanced Installer.
My bad, Roboto and Roboto condesed are grouped under the same name "Roboto" and "condensed" got translated to German so I was confused about that. Everything works, thank you again!
