How to Auto-close a prompt during install

We are experiencing 1 popup during install/upgrade and 2 more during remove. The installer functions as desired taking the default selection for these popups.

The popups are for file in use. The default selection is to close the application and reopen it at the end. We would like to suppress/auto-close these popups.

Thanks you in advance

Re: How to Auto-close a prompt during install

Hello David and welcome to our forums,

That dialog is the "FileInUse" dialog which is spawned by default by Windows Installer:

The only way to avoid that would be to make sure the application/s that keep the files in use are closed properly.

The below article should assist you in finding what application keeps your files in use:

How to detect the process that keeps a file in use & how to detect which file is in use

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
