Set all files in a certain folder as read-only

Tue Mar 21, 2023 4:09 pm

Hi,

I cannot find a way to let the installer set all files within a certain folder as read-only (attribute). I am able to select all files within a folder, right mouse click properties and then select "read-only" which sets all attributes of the files to read-only. But when I have a synced folder or if I add new files to a folder I have to manually make them read-only again by checking the read-only attribute checkbox. Is there a way to force all files within a folder to have the read-only attribute?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
Jordy

Hello Jordy,

Have you tried setting the permissions directly on the folder?

Normally, the files from that respective folder should inherit the permission from the parent folder.

I have tested this and although if you go to the "Permissions" tab of the file, the permissions are not set, after the installation it indeed inherits them:

Hope this helps!
