Setting for Add/Remove warning?

Hello,

I've noticed some of my projects when installed then uninstalled via Programs and Features (Add/Remove) will give me a warning "Are you sure you want to uninstall this" and some don't and simply uninstall immediately.

What setting in Advanced Installer is responsible for this?

Thank You for your time.

Re: Setting for Add/Remove warning?

Hello,

This is the Windows default behavior and there's no related option in Advanced Installer. On Windows Vista for example the dialog has a checkbox which will prevent the prompt from showing on any future uninstalls.

All the best,
Mihai

Re: Setting for Add/Remove warning?

Hello Mihai and thanks for the reply,

I'm using Windows 7, and the weird thing is, some projects will have a diaglog confirmation with a checkbox, and some don't and just uninstall immediately.

And I've never set the checkbox to not warn me again.

That's why I thought it was a setting in Advanced Installer, as I'm trying to understand why some projects are behaving this way.

Indeed this is true, but this appears to happen only for custom .EXE installers, not for .MSI installers. We'll consider investigating this setting more in the future.

All the best,
