Citrix System Monitoring Agent preventing install

We have an application we wrote that uses Advanced Installer and the updater. We have started installing it on machines that are accessed via Remote Desktop Services. Because of this, our consultant for the project wants to install Citrix System Monitoring Agent. However, when its running, we cannot install, update or uninstall our application. An older application of ours that uses a different installer program still works.

We are at a loss as to what to do. Our network guys are insisting we have to have this monitoring software installed. Below is the message logged to the Windows event viewer:

Product: XXXXXXXXXX -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action AI_UPDATER_UNINSTALL, location: C:\Program Files (x86)\XXXXXXXXXX\updater.exe, command: /clean silent

Any suggestions?
