Freeware and Direction

I've had a play with the software and am impressed (in particular for version 0.1).

I've a question with regard to the freeware nature of the software. Is it the intention that the software shall remain freeware or is the intention that the software will become a commercial product at v1.0?

I ask as the product meets my needs at work but may also be of interest for an open source project i'm involved in and our aim here is to only use freely available tools during development in order to keep the project as open as possble.

Thanks for your time

Hi Mark, thanks for writing to us.

It is our intention to keep Advanced Installer freeware before, on and after 1.0.

Our commercial development plans include value added "professional" versions, which would simply provide customization and power features on top of the base product.

Best regards,
Cata
